Problem:

At a U.S. Seven-Up bottling plant, a production line starting with an automatic bottle capper was often slowed because the steel bottle crowns were not efficiently handled. A person had to climb a ladder carrying a box of crowns to be emptied into the capper hopper.

Solution:

A Vertical Belt Conveyor System using Eriez Magna-Rails® held the crowns to the conveyer belt as they were elevated. The crowns were loaded into a stainless steel hopper at floor level and the magnetic conveyor lifted them to the capper hopper.
